Your TESU preceptor, lined up so your practicum starts on time
TESU Preceptor runs an independent preceptor matching service for Thomas Edison State University nursing students, sourcing, vetting, and securing your preceptor and practicum site, with payment only once matched. TESU builds your degree around clinical hours you complete with a preceptor in your own community, and that search is where working nurses get stuck. We line up a qualified, program-approvable preceptor for your FNP, PMHNP, MSN or DNP practicum.
Tell us your program and city. It is free to ask, with no obligation.
TESU builds your degree around a preceptor and clinical hours in your own community, and lining that preceptor up is where working nurses get stuck.
You are already juggling a job, a license, and a full course load. Then a practicum term arrives and you need an approvable preceptor, a willing site, and (for the MSN specializations) a workable project, plus malpractice coverage in place before you can even register. Miss that window and the term slips. We carry the search so you do not lose one.

What does TESU preceptor placement cost?
Independent preceptor and practicum placement runs roughly 1,500 to 2,500 dollars per rotation across the market, and psychiatric placements sit at the higher end. We price per placement and you pay only once your preceptor and site are confirmed. Our fee covers sourcing, eligibility verification, and the coordination that gets you cleared to register, never a payment to the preceptor.
The math that matters: TESU is built for working adults on a schedule. A stalled practicum means another term of tuition and months of delayed advancement. Lining your preceptor up early is the cheaper path, not the more expensive one.
Good to know before you start
Does TESU find your preceptor for you?
Your Thomas Edison State University graduate program is built around clinical or practicum hours you complete with a preceptor in your own community, and lining up that preceptor, site, and project is where working nurses get stuck. That is exactly what we handle.
How many clinical hours does the TESU FNP program require?
The TESU MSN Family Nurse Practitioner program requires 750 clinical hours, completed with a preceptor across a 44-credit, 14-course program.
What about the MSN Nurse Educator, Informatics, and Administration practicum?
Each TESU MSN specialization requires 100 practicum hours per practicum course with a preceptor. We place the preceptor, the practicum site, and help scope an approvable project, so your practicum is not a scramble.
Is the TESU APRN certificate accredited?
TESU's MSN and DNP nursing programs are accredited by CCNE. Its post-graduate APRN certificate is currently pursuing initial CCNE accreditation, so confirm the current status directly with TESU before enrolling. We will never tell you it is accredited when it is not.
Who can precept a TESU nursing student?
A qualified, appropriately licensed and certified preceptor that your TESU program approves for your specialty. We verify eligibility before you commit, and you must carry malpractice insurance before registering for practicum courses.
Are you affiliated with Thomas Edison State University?
No. We are an independent placement service and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Thomas Edison State University or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. We help you meet TESU's requirements; we do not act for TESU.
Do not let the search cost you a term
Tell us your program, your city, and your practicum timeline. We will come back with a placement plan and a realistic path to a preceptor and your clinical hours.
